Second Grade

Maci Burke

Ms. Maci Burke is a member of the second grade team. She was born and raised in Turlock. Ms. Burke attended California State University, Sacramento where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies. Later she received a multiple subject teaching credential from St. Mary’s College of California in Moraga.

Ms. Burke is a relatively new addition to Cunningham School. This will be her second full year of teaching here.

She coordinates the Box Tops for Education program at Cunningham and is also a member of the Science Committee.

Leticia Perez

Leticia Perez is a member of the second grade team. She has two children, both Cunningham Elementary alumni. Mrs. Perez attended California State University, Stanislaus where she earn a Bachelor of Arts degree, a multiple subject teaching credential, and a Bilingual, Cross-Cultural, Language and Academic Development authorization.

Prior to teaching at Cunningham, she taught for three years as an English Language Development teacher at Sylvan Elementary in Modesto, and for four years as a primary and intermediate teacher at Selma Herndon Elementary School in Livingston.

Mrs. Perez is the second grade representative on the Cunningham Site Leadership Committee. She is also a member of the English Language Arts Committee.

Mrs. Stapler

Mrs. Stapler is the newest member of the Cunningham 2nd grade team. She was raised in San Ramon, California. She has two children – a 15 year old and a 9 year old. She also has two dogs.

Mrs. Stapler attended California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. She later received her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from National University.

Before teaching second grade at Cunningham, Mrs. Stapler was a substitute teacher for the TUSD.
